Terms of service
PART I — General provisions
1. Service provider. “Mestre Faz Tudo” services are provided by Steelaxy, Unipessoal, Lda., with its registered office at Av. do Cerco, 18, 2520-635 Ferrel (Peniche), registration no./NIPC 516 649 507 at the Commercial Registry Office of Coimbra (Conservatória do Registo Comercial de Coimbra), share capital €2,000.00, email info@mestrefaztudo.com, telephone +351 963 218 570. IMPIC private works contractor certificate no. 152991-PAR. We only carry out works within the limit of our IMPIC certificate (no. 152991-PAR; Law 41/2015). We do not contract works above that value: we can refer you to a company holding the appropriate licence (alvará), which contracts directly with the customer.
2. Scope. Maintenance, repairs, small building works, cleaning, assembly and related services available on the website. It does not include work requiring a higher licence than the certificate held, nor gas or electrical work without a qualified technician.
3. Quote. The binding quote is free of charge, in writing and valid for 30 days. It sets out the work, the materials, the price including VAT, the timescale and the payment terms. Additional work is only carried out with written acceptance (email or WhatsApp) and an additional quote.
4. Contract. The contract is concluded when the quote is accepted in writing. For works subject to Law 41/2015, the contract is made in writing and contains the mandatory legal information (Article 26).
5. Price and payment. The price is set out in the quote. An advance payment for materials may apply, as set out in the accepted quote. Payment is made by MB WAY or bank transfer. The invoice is issued in accordance with the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA).
6. Performance of the work. The customer ensures access, water and electricity and informs us of any constraints (asbestos, condominium rules, permits). Permits and notifications to the local council are the responsibility of the client commissioning the works (dono da obra), unless otherwise agreed. The services are carried out by technicians vetted by Steelaxy and engaged directly by it, without subcontracting to other companies. Work above the limit referred to in clause 1 follows the referral procedure set out there.
7. Rescheduling and cancellation. These are free of charge up to the notice period provided for in the accepted quote. After that, the advance payment covers materials already ordered and a call-out charge, as set out in the accepted quote, without prejudice to the right to cancel under clause 13 and to the exceptions in Articles 15 and 17(1)(m) of Decree-Law 24/2014.
8. Waste. Waste is taken to a licensed operator (Decree-Law 102-D/2020), where this is included in the quote.
9. Insurance. Civil liability insurance and workplace accident insurance are in force. Certificates are available on request.
10. Liability. The service provider is liable for damage caused through its fault in carrying out the work. It is not liable for pre-existing defects or for materials supplied by the customer (except for fitting them).
10-A. Vetted technician. Before assigning work to a technician, we check their identity, their experience and, where required by law, their professional qualification. We keep a record of these checks.
11. Personal data. See the Privacy Policy.
PART II — Consumers (B2C)
12. Pre-contractual information. This is provided in accordance with Law 24/96 and Decree-Law 24/2014 where the contract is concluded at a distance or off-premises.
13. Right to cancel. For distance and off-premises contracts, the cancellation period is 14 days or, for the off-premises contracts referred to in sub-paragraphs (ii) and (v) of point (i) of Article 3 of Decree-Law 24/2014 (concluded at the consumer’s home or during an excursion organised by the service provider), 30 days, starting on the day the contract is concluded (Decree-Law 24/2014, Article 10(1)(a)). If the consumer expressly asks for the service to start within that period, they pay an amount proportionate to what has already been provided. The right is lost once the service has been fully performed following the consumer’s express request and acknowledgement that the right will be lost (Article 17). For urgent repairs requested by the consumer, the exception in Article 17(1)(m) applies. The customer may use the model withdrawal form below (Annex, Part B, to Decree-Law 24/2014), but is not obliged to do so; any unequivocal statement is sufficient, for example by email to info@mestrefaztudo.com.

14. Legal guarantee and Written Commitment. This does not affect the legal guarantees: lack of conformity of services and of works on immovable property (Decree-Law 84/2021 and Portuguese Civil Code, Articles 1218–1225). The Written Commitment covers labour for 12 months from completion of the service. This commercial guarantee is given in writing and is in addition to the legal guarantees, without limiting or replacing them. Where the law provides for a longer period, the legal period applies (Decree-Law 84/2021; Portuguese Civil Code, Articles 1218 to 1225). To make a claim under the Written Commitment, the customer contacts us in writing, by email (info@mestrefaztudo.com), stating the service, the date and the defect, preferably with photographs. We reply within 5 working days and, if the defect is covered, we repair it at no cost whatsoever to the customer (labour and call-out). The Written Commitment covers defects in workmanship and does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse or work carried out by third parties; it applies to services provided in Portugal. This guarantee does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights, in particular to repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract, which remain free of charge and independent of the Written Commitment. The guarantee statement is given to the customer on a durable medium together with the invoice.
15. Complaints and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico): www.livroreclamacoes.pt. In the event of a dispute, the consumer may refer it to the ADR entity CNIACC – www.cniacc.pt. More information at www.consumidor.gov.pt (Law 144/2015, Article 18).
16. Governing law and jurisdiction. Portuguese law. Without prejudice to the mandatory rules on the consumer’s place of jurisdiction.
PART III — Businesses and condominiums (B2B / maintenance contracts)
17. Maintenance contracts. The plan, the hours or visits included and the monthly price are set out in the proposal. Response times are those defined in the maintenance contract concluded with the customer. Maintenance contracts with consumers: monthly term, automatically renewed for equal periods, with no minimum commitment period; the customer may terminate at any time on 30 days’ notice. Maintenance contracts with businesses: 12-month term, automatically renewed for equal periods unless either party gives notice of termination at least 60 days before the end of the term.
18. Payment. Within the period provided for in the accepted quote, from the invoice date. Commercial late-payment interest applies (Decree-Law 62/2013).
19. Limitation of liability. Up to the amount paid in the last 12 months, except in cases of wilful misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury (Decree-Law 446/85, Articles 18 and 19). Loss of profit is excluded.
20. Works documents. The following are provided on request: the IMPIC certificate, the civil liability (RC) and workplace accident (AT) insurance policies, and the certificates of no debt to the Tax Authority and Social Security (AT and SS).
21. Jurisdiction. No jurisdiction is agreed. Disputes with consumers fall within the jurisdiction of the court determined by law, including the court of the district where the consumer is domiciled where the law so provides (Portuguese Code of Civil Procedure, Article 71; Decree-Law 446/85, Article 19(g)). In addition, the consumer may refer the dispute to the alternative dispute resolution entity indicated in these terms (Law 144/2015, Article 18).
22. Precedence. The specific conditions of the proposal prevail over these terms. The general contractual clauses are subject to Decree-Law 446/85 (communication and information, Articles 5 and 6).
